Digital platform for train drivers

The information and video material is collected by the administrators of the application and can then very easily be integrated into the application. For the import of meta information such as “on route X at kilometer Y there is an incline in the terrain of Z percent” there is a specified format in which this is first collected in the form of a spreadsheet (e.g. in Excel). This can then be imported to an already stored route and the web application uses this metadata to present it contextually. The videos themselves are hosted and managed on a video streaming platform. Once a video has been deposited there, an admin can easily assign it to a route in the application. The videos are not visible on the video streaming platform itself but only for users of the app.digitale-streckenkunde.de domain. It is also possible to store the videos directly on the application’s server. However, the customer decided to use a video streaming platform because of the enormous amount of data and the convenient administration there. Compatibility with another video platform can also be retrofitted relatively easily.
